Walkthrough by Chapter
Each guardian holds one of the keys to the Gate to the Catacombs:

Paris Streets
The spirit's barrel clue leads to the hidden lever and the passage below. Strike the Fallen's thrown cross with your sword or magic, then defeat him to unlock Holy Cross.
Court of Miracles and Prison Tower
The Warrior clue points to Joan of Arc at the top of Prison Tower; prepare your health before starting the rooftop fight. Her defeat gives you another key and the Warrior card, while Holy Light lets you traverse Chaos Shards.
Cemetery and Underground Ruins
Turn away from Medusa's eyes to avoid her petrifying gaze, and plan your movement knowing you cannot grapple onto her. Defeating her grants The Prophetess card with Petrifying Gaze and the last key, after which you return to the door.
