What do you need before visiting the Tomb of the Noble Queen?

You need to free Eleanor from her chained mirror and obtain The Temptress before the cemetery reunion. The tomb is the final stop of her escape, so deal with the mirror quest before making this trip.

Eleanor's imprisonment is tied to seals reached through Mirrors of Life in Paris Streets, the Main Hall, the Clock Tower, and Notre-Dame. Crouch before the marked mirrors to enter their challenges, break the seals, and defeat the enemies inside. The Clock Tower mirror is in Mechanic's Ascent; the Notre-Dame mirror is in the East Gallery. A sealed Mirror of Life cannot serve as your fast-travel destination, so approach it from a nearby travel point instead.

Her standing mirror is in the Main Hall's Mirror Rooms, at the Heart of the Maze. After clearing the Hall of Mirrors and defeating the Succubus, absorb the golden orb to obtain The Temptress. If you are still dealing with that fight, keep the Castlevania Belmont's Curse bosses page handy before returning to Eleanor's room.

Once she has escaped, her former mirror room contains the note Eleanor Flees to the Cemetary. Read it for the direction to her family mausoleum. That is your cue to leave the mirror rooms and head back to Holy Innocents' Cemetery.

Where is the Tomb of the Noble Queen in Belmont's Curse?

The Tomb of the Noble Queen is inside the Mausoleum of the Queens, west in Holy Innocents' Cemetery. Your destination is the royal burial chamber, where Eleanor stands before a great sarcophagus beneath France's royal banner.

From the Hall of Mirrors hub, inspect the mirror entrances for their destination names and choose Holy Innocents' Cemetery. Use the interact prompt to travel: R1 on controller or E on PC. Check the destination label before entering so you arrive in the cemetery for the mausoleum approach.

Keep the area names straight as you travel: Holy Innocents' Cemetery is the larger region, Mausoleum of the Queens is the district you want, and Tomb of the Noble Queen is the chamber within it. If you need help placing those areas on your route, refer to the Castlevania Belmont's Curse map.

How do you reach Eleanor inside the Tomb of the Noble Queen?

Travel through the Catacombs of Paris toward the Mausoleum of the Queens, pass the barriers and trapped platforms, then enter the cathedral hall to find Eleanor.

  1. Break the upright stone barriers. Use dash-charges on the breakable stone sections between the red thorn walls. Aim your progress through the stone openings rather than trying to force a route through the thorns.

  2. Cross the trapped platforms. Watch the spikes and spinning saws before committing to the next crossing. Take the opening between hazards instead of rushing straight through the platform section.

  3. Handle the enemies on the approach. Flying gargoyles and an axe brute stand along this route. Give yourself room to deal with them while keeping the nearby traps in view.

  4. Enter the burial hall. Look for the great sarcophagus beneath the royal banner. Eleanor is standing in front of it; approach her to finish the reunion.

The banner and sarcophagus are your landmarks once you are indoors. Keep moving toward Eleanor there: speaking with her is the action that gives you the Arcana.

What do you get from Eleanor at the Tomb of the Noble Queen?

Eleanor gives you The Sage Arcana, which grants Rose Mirror Walk. Talk to her at the sarcophagus; she turns into golden light for Rose to absorb, and The Sage card appears afterward. Hold the equip button when prompted to equip it.

Your next destination is the Gallery of the Four Virtues for Eleanor's Trial of Prudence. Find the green Prudence stained-glass window and equip Mirror Walk before touching it. The window responds when the spell is active, and activating it begins the trial. Keep the Castlevania Belmont's Curse tarot cards page alongside you as you move on with The Sage equipped.
